Singtel builds new bridges as it extends ANZ contract to 2020
The deal was first established 7 years ago.
Singtel’s friendship with Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ) still has a long way to go as the telco unveiled the renewal of its 2013 five-year telecommunications and managed services contract with the bank.
The strategic partnership between the group and its Australian telco Optus and ANZ was first established in 2009 with a five-year ICT services deal announced in 2013. According to the group, the deal is extended to 2020.
The agreement includes domestic and international data network services, mobility, collaboration, contact centre services and managed services to support ANZ’s operations.
For Singtel Group Chief Executive Officer Chua Sock Koong this renewal is a testament to the group's capability, innovation and demonstrated track record.
“We are very pleased with the ANZ contract renewal and look forward to continuing to leverage the Singtel Group's scale, expertise and innovation to support ANZ's business objectives in years to come," Chua stated.
Meanwhile, ANZ Chief Shayne Elliott noted how the telco's technology has helped the bank prosper.
“The services provided by Singtel have played an important role as we use technology to make it easier for our customers to do their banking with us and provide innovative ways for our staff to collaborate," Elliot pronounced.
