New Clementi bus interchange to open on 26 November
The new interchange is expected to benefit about 8,500 commuters daily.
The 8,100 sqm facility at Clementi is the sixth Integrated Transport Hub where the bus interchanges and MRT stations are seamlessly linked with adjoining commercial developments. It will provide air-conditioned access for commuters transferring between bus services as well as between the bus and MRT services.
Currently, commuters take 5 minutes to walk from the existing temporary open-air interchange located along Commonwealth Avenue West to the Clementi MRT Station. The Land Transport Authority said the new bus interchange will reduce the walking time to 2 to 2.5 minutes.
