COE vehicle premiums dip after record-high levels in previous months

As the year comes to a close.

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) received 2,704 bids at the end of the December second open bidding exercise for Certificates of Entitlement (COEs). Of these, 1,954 were successful.

LTA revealed that Certificates of Entitlement (COE) premiums ended mostly lower in the bidding exercise yesterday compared to the previous bidding exercise two weeks ago.

COE prices for Category A cars (1600cc and below) dropped to $65,889 from $67,089 while premiums for Category B cars (above 1600cc or 130 bhp) fell to $74,000 from $74,389.

Meanwhile, prices for open category COEs, which are mostly for bigger cars, declined to $73,990 from $76,904. Also, Commercial vehicles COEs closed at $52,100, down from $60,001 and premiums for motorcycles ended at $4,312, higher than the $4,210 close in the previous bidding exercise.
