SMRT board chief Koh Yong Guan to step down

Deputy chair Seah Moon Ming will take over.

SMRT Corporation group announced that its current board chairperson Koh Yong Guan will step down on July 17.

Koh has been an independent director of SMRT Corporation Ltd since April 2007 and SMRT Trains Ltd. since May 2007. He has headed both boards since July 2009

The current deputy chairperson of both SMRT Corp and SMRT Trains Seah Moong Ming will be appointed to take over Koh.

He has been pivotal to the transition to the New Rail Financing Framework and the drive towards rail reliability through SMRT’s ongoing effort to renew and improve Singapore’s North-South and East-West Lines," the group said.
