Households to enjoy lower electricity tariffs

Thanks to cheaper natural gas.

Singapore Power (SP) Services will cut electricity tarriffs in the fourth quarter of the year.

Tariffs will decrease by an average of 9.3 per cent, or 2.06 cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh). The decrease will take effect from October to December and is due to the lower cost of natural gas.

Electricity tariff for households will be revised to 20.35 cents per kWh for the quarter.
