OKP bags $9.8m drainage improvement contract from PUB

It will re-construct drains in western Singapore.

OKP Holding’s subsidiary Eng Lam Contractors has snapped up a $9.8m contract to provide drainage improvement works for various locations in Singapore’s western region.

According to the company’s media release, the two-year contract was awarded by the Public Utilities Board (PUB). Under the agreement, Eng Lam will re-construct drains and culverts in various locations at Jalan Buroh, Jalan Sampurna, Pioneer Sector 1, Tanjong Penjuru/Penjuru Road and West Coast Road/Penjuru Road.

Group managing director Or Toh Wat further commented that the deal places OKP in a good position for future contract wins. He added that this contract signals PUB’s confidence in OKP, as the newly secured project is an addition to two on-going projects between PUB and OKP.

The contract will commence on 22 February 2016 and is expected to be completed by 21 August 2018.
