SIIC Environment embarks on Dalian project

The company won’t even break a sweat.

SIIC's 75.5% owned subsidiary company, SIIC Environment Holdings (Weifang) Co., Ltd. has
been awarded a BOT wastewater treatment project by Dalian Municipal Government Municipal Water Authority in Dalian City, Liaoning Province, China, a report by RHB reveals.

RHB adds that the project entails the construction and operation of a wastewater treatment plant with a design capacity of 40,000 tons/day for a concessionary period of 22 years, including the construction phase.

The project which has a design capacity of 40,000 tons/day, is relatively small for SIIC which has a total design capacity of 4.53m tons/day. RHB concludes that as such, the project is unlikely to have a significant impact on SIIC's financials.
