Wilmar establishes eight subsidiaries

They were formed in Singapore, South Africa, and Tanzania.

Wilmar International Limited (Wilmar) established eight subsidiaries in Singapore, South Africa, and Tanzania.

According to an announcement, Wilmar's wholly-owned subsidiary, Wilmar Ship Holdings Pte. Ltd, established five firms in Singapore, namely, Lily Shipping, Madelyn Shipping, Mila Shipping, Rebekah Shipping, and Riley Shipping. The five companies will own and charter vessels.

Meanwhile, the South African subsidiary Wilmar Processing SA Pty Ltd (WPS) will manufacture edible oils, fats, soaps, detergents and oleochemicals.

Wilmar's new subsidiary in Tanzania, Yihai Kerry - Hyseas Trading Limited (YK-Hyseas Trading) is 60% owned by an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Wilmar China. It is also an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Wilmar.

The remaining 40% interest is held by an independent party.

YK-Hyseas Trading will trade and process sesame seeds and other pulses.

Wilmar also disposed an indirectly owned interest in Jadeblue Connection Sdn Bhd for US$1.82m and increased its stakes in silica producer Fenghai Panjin Rice.
