Koh Brothers Eco Engineering posts $5.67m H1 loss

Loss per share was at $0.20.

Koh Brothers Eco Engineering Limited reported a net loss attributable to shareholders of $5.67m for the six months ended 30 June 2026 (H1 2026), reversing a $3.04m profit in the same period last year.

Group revenue rose to $144.05m in H1 2026, up by 29% year-on-year (YoY), driven by higher billings on new and ongoing Engineering and Construction projects.

Despite this, the segment recorded a loss of $8.14m during the period. Meanwhile, the Bio-Refinery and Renewable Energy segment remained profitable, with $5.67m in earnings.

Moreover, gross profit fell 46% YoY to $7.47m, as gross margin compressed to 5.2% from 12.4% in 2025.

The company attributed this to higher material and procurement costs tied to geopolitical conflicts and supply chain disruptions.

Loss per share was $0.20, against earnings of $0.11 a year earlier.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

You're the reader we write for. You're also the person our partners want to reach.

If that sentence describes you — a founder, a C-suite, someone whose attention companies pay good money for — then you already understand why SBR works. We've spent twenty years earning the trust of readers exactly like you. Which is exactly what makes this an interesting place for your company to show up, too.

The ways it can show up are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The right fit depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If your company has something this audience should know about, we'd like to hear what you're working on.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
