ST Engineering’s Q2 contract wins lift order book to $35.7b

The contracts covered aerospace, defence, and urban solutions.

Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd (ST Engineering) secured $2.9b in new contracts in the second quarter of 2026, taking its order book to $35.7b at end-June.

The contracts comprised $1.2b from Commercial Aerospace, $1.2b from Defence & Public Security, and $500m from Urban Solutions & Satcom.

The group also recognised a $1.7b (US$1.3b) contract awarded to its subsidiary TransCore by the New Jersey Turnpike Authority for E-ZPass services.

Commercial Aerospace’s orders included aircraft maintenance and cabin upgrades, engine services, and component work, whilst its Aerostructures & Systems business secured orders for engine nacelles and composite floor panels.

Defence & Public Security won contracts spanning ammunition, assault rifles, ground-support equipment maintenance, counter-drone systems, public-safety technology, cybersecurity, and naval and military aircraft maintenance.

Urban Solutions & Satcom secured contracts for rail electronics for Singapore’s Thomson-East Coast Line extension, an intelligent transport system for Riyadh’s Second Southern Ring Road, US tolling systems and maintenance, smart security systems, and satellite network projects.

The E-ZPass contract was awarded in September 2024 but was excluded from ST Engineering’s order book whilst a legal challenge by the incumbent service provider was pending.

The award was reaffirmed in April 2025, and work began in May 2025.

The contract includes two one-year extension options worth a further $500m (US$400m), which have not been booked.

ST Engineering said the contracts are not expected to have a material impact on its net tangible assets or earnings per share for the current financial year.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

You're the reader we write for. You're also the person our partners want to reach.

If that sentence describes you — a founder, a C-suite, someone whose attention companies pay good money for — then you already understand why SBR works. We've spent twenty years earning the trust of readers exactly like you. Which is exactly what makes this an interesting place for your company to show up, too.

The ways it can show up are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The right fit depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If your company has something this audience should know about, we'd like to hear what you're working on.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
