Households to receive extra $300 in CDC vouchers in January 2027

The support comes under a second support package worth around $900m.

Every Singaporean household will receive an additional $300 in CDC vouchers in January 2027, Second Minister for Finance Jeffrey Siow announced.

The support comes under a second government support package worth around $900m in response to the continuing conflict in the Middle East.

The vouchers will be provided on top of the $500 in CDC vouchers brought forward to June 2026. The government will also enhance the U-Save rebates scheduled for October and January 2027.

Including the rebates distributed in April and July, HDB households will receive between $110 and $190 in each quarter of the current financial year.

“This amount should fully offset the impact of higher utility bills for most households living in a 4-room or smaller HDB flat until March next year,” Siow said.

In addition, lower-income households will receive additional assistance through ComCare Interim Assistance, with monthly payouts increasing to at least $250 for up to three months. Higher amounts will be available to those with greater needs.

“We will also be more flexible on the eligibility of ComCare Interim Assistance, so more households can qualify for support,” he added.

The $900m package also includes financing, cash grants, and rental assistance for businesses.

Together with the $1b assistance package announced in April, the government has committed around $2b in additional support, excluding measures introduced under Budget 2026.

Earlier measures include a $400 to $600 Cost-of-Living Special Payment scheduled for September.

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes.
