Increase in export of non-electronic products pushed the growth.
Non-oil domestic exports (NODX) grew 13% year-on-year (yoy) in January due to the rise in non-electronic exports.
According to International Enterprise (IE) Singapore, exports for non-electronic products increased by 20.7% yoy as a result of surges in non-electric engines & motors (383.6%), food preparations (100%) and measuring instruments (43.2%).
The increase in NODX for January were mostly contributed by the U.S. (+53.4%), Japan (+28.8), and European Union (+16.9%).
