The Malaysia International Business Awards gives recognition to the most outstanding initiatives of international firms in Malaysia!
The Awards is open to all foreign firms in Malaysia across all industries.
If you have any initiatives that highlight the excellent work of the company such as an outstanding project or service launched for or with a client, or an innovative internal practices or strategies, and want to stand out as one of the best foreign companies in Malaysia, submit an entry and get the recognition that your company deserves!
Nominations for the 2023 edition will be accepted beginning on October 17. Stanley has more than 25 years of experience in the public accounting practice. His experience includes audit of multinational corporations, public and private companies, mainly in the real estate, manufacturing and media sectors.
He leads the Audit & Assurance practice of Deloitte Malaysia, providing services in statutory audit, assurance, reporting accountants, finance care, and Integrated Reporting, among others. Stanley is also a member of Deloitte Southeast Asia Audit & Assurance Executive Committee.

Ngu Heng Sing

Heng Sing started his career with KPMG by joining the Assurance division in 2007 and move to KPMG in Malaysia’s Transaction Services division in May 2011.
He has experience in the audit of various public listed companies and multinationals from different industries including manufacturing, construction, plantation, automotive, poultry, and financial institutions.
He has also worked on due diligence engagements covering financial, commercial and operational for private equity firms, corporate investors, government agencies, and government-linked companies.
Among his notable engagements include:
• Assisted a leading technology company in their acquisition of various start-up companies, which included e-payment companies, online-to-offline e- commerce platforms, bicycle sharing company, and online grocery and delivery company;
• Assisted a private equity fund in the acquisition of various retail chains in Malaysia, which included pharmacies, budget stores, and specialty stores;
• Assisted the management of a leading global hamburger fast food chain in their proposed divestment of franchise rights in Malaysia and Singapore; • Assisted a sovereign wealth fund in the market study and assessment of the online photo printing industry;
• Assisted a local investment bank in the development of an external advisors’ manual covering the general process of work performed by reporting accountants, due diligence advisors, and tax advisors.


Dato’ Robert Teo
Managing Partner
RSM Malaysia
Robert has more than 40 years of experience in the fields of corporate taxation, audit assurance and corporate restructuring exercises. Robert has also undertaken Special Administrator appointments by Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Berhad (Danaharta was established by the Government of Malaysia to act as the national asset management company) for certain public listed companies and is also involved in the restructuring of corporations, some of which are listed on the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
His specialised industry knowledge lies in the property, construction and housing development sector with a focus on tax planning. He is an Independent Non-Executive Director on the Board of Symphony Life Berhad (formerly known as Bolton Berhad), one of the oldest established development group listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia.
Robert is also an Independent Non-Executive Director of Malaysia Smelting Corporation Berhad (MSC) which is currently one of the world’s leading integrated producer of tin metal and tin-based products and a global leader in custom tin smelting since 1887. He is also Chairman of the Audit Committee of Symphony Life Berhad and MSC.
Robert is on the Board of several Chambers of Commerce / Business Council and participates actively in bilateral initiatives especially on trade issues.

Pam Lee

Pam Lee is currently the Sustainability Lead at BDO in Malaysia. She is a GRI Certified Sustainability Professional and focuses on delivering ESG and Sustainability work for BDO clients.
She also plays the supporting role of overseeing the marketing efforts of BDO in Malaysia and review of IT general controls (ITGC) work.
A holder of a Capital Market Services Representative’s License for Advising on Corporate Finance, she has worked on corporate finance engagements, including due diligence, corporate valuations, IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, and independent advice for related party transactions and takeovers.
Prior to her role as Executive Director in Advisory with BDO in Malaysia, she served as CFO for a private solar independent power producer in Malaysia. Her responsibilities then included providing leadership in areas of project financing, financial modeling, financial planning and analysis, daily office operations, reporting and liaison with stakeholders.
Before joining the commercial sector, her last role was as Director in Advisory in Corporate Finance in BDO. Her involvement in corporate finance engagements include corporate valuations, fairness opinions, IPOs, purchase price allocation as well as independent adviser for related party transactions and mergers and acquisitions. Her financial advisory and audit experience cover oil and gas, plantation, utilities, shipping, trading, manufacturing, services, poultry, concession, financial services, construction and retail.
She is also experienced in managing external audits of listed and non-listed clients, financial due diligence assignments, agreed upon procedures, overseas special audit assignments and GST advisory in Malaysia.
Pam was in Ernst & Young for over 3 years in audit. Her other career experience includes her stint as financial journalist for a business newspaper in Malaysia.

Nominations will be deliberated by a judging committee based on the judging criteria.
Eligible companies may submit a maximum of three (3) nomination entries.
Only one company per industry category will be hailed as a winner.
Nominations and supporting documents will be accepted until 11 March 2022.

The awards programme is open to companies in all industries in Malaysia with headquarters located abroad.
Eligible companies may nominate any initiatives that highlight the excellent work of the company such as:
outstanding project, product or service launched for or with a client
innovative internal practices or strategies
The initiative must have been launched or had upgrades, in part or in full, in the last 24 calendar months.

What can I nominate?
INTERNATIONAL (Foreign) companies in Malaysia may nominate any initiatives that highlight the excellent work of the company such as:
outstanding project, product or service launched for or with a client
innovative internal practices or strategies
The initiative or project must have been launched or had upgrades, in part or in full, in the last 24 calendar months.
Who are eligible to nominate?
The awards programme is open to all foreign firms in Malaysia with it's global/main headquarters located abroad
Eligible companies may nominate any initiatives that highlight the excellent work of the company such as:
outstanding project or service launched for or with a client
innovative internal practices or strategies
The initiative must have been launched or had upgrades, in part or in full, in the last 24 calendar months.
How do I nominate?
- Go to the online nomination form of the Malaysia International Business Awards 2022.
- Read the nomination guidelines.
- Fill out the required fields.
- Select your industry category.
- Provide the project title, 500-word write-up, client feedback (if any), and project achievements.
- Select the winner's package option that you will book if you win the award
- Send three (3) project photos and supporting documents to danica@charltonmediamail.com on or before 25 February 2022
- Each nomination form is valid for one (1) entry only. If you are nominating several projects, please fill out separate nomination forms.
Can I nominate for more than 1 category?
Yes, each company can nominate for a maximum of 3 categories.
Can I send two or more entries for our company?
You may send a maximum of 3 entries. One online form is valid for one entry only. If you are submitting multiple entries, please enter each separately in the nomination form.
How many winners per category?
Only one (1) winning company will be awarded in each industry category
Is there a cost involved?
Nomination is free of charge. To receive exclusive entitlements, winners must book any of the winner's package options. Email danica@charltonmediamail.com for more information on pricing and inclusion.
Will there be an awards dinner this year?
We do understand the current situation with COVID-19. As our priority is the safety of our guests, there will be no physical awards dinner this year. Instead, we will conduct a digital awards presentation and interview via zoom video conferencing software.
