Raffles Medical Group eyes long-term growth in China
Its Raffles Chongqing is expected to be completed in 2H18.
Whilst its outlook in Singapore remains bleak, Raffles Medical Group can instead look at China for long-term growth.
According to UOB Kay Hian analyst Andrew Chow, the group is expecting some drivers from its China operation.
For one, the group's Raffles Congqing is expected to be completed in 2H18. Additionally, the group will open the hospital in phases, starting with 300 beds out of a total 700 beds, depending on demand.
Meanwhile, the targetted completion and operation of its Shanghai hospital has been pushed to 2H19 due to construction issues.
In terms of recruitment, RMG is planning for 120 specialists and doctors for its Chongqing hospital in the initial phase.
