Singlife launches zero-fee CPF portfolios for retirement

Singaporeans can invest their CPF funds across 3 portfolios starting from just $200.

GROW with Singlife has launched the GROW Alpha Series to help Singaporeans optimise their Central Provident Fund (CPF) Ordinary Account (OA) savings for retirement.

The launch comes as Singapore grapples with a growing retirement funding gap.

According to Singlife, the country is now a "super-aged" society, with one in five residents aged 65 and above — a ratio expected to rise to nearly one in four by 2030. Life expectancy has climbed to 83 for a baby born in 2023, up from 79 two decades ago, meaning Singaporeans can now expect to spend over 20 years in retirement.

The portfolios -- Balanced, Growth, and Aggressive -- are curated in-house by GROW's investment specialists using an open architecture approach.

Funds are selected on investment merit from multiple managers including Fullerton Fund Management, Schroders, Eastspring Investments, Amova Asset Management, and UOB Asset Management.

GROW with Singlife does not charge additional portfolio fees, and the minimum investment amount is $200.

The open architecture approach allows investors to access a wider range of fund options beyond those of any single manager. All three portfolios include the Fullerton Lux Funds – Global Absolute Alpha, a growth-focused global equity strategy investing in approximately 40 global stocks.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
