Sentosa Development Corporation appoints Bob Tan as chairman

Tan is the chairman of multiple firms including Jurong Engineering and ASCOTT Residence Trust Management.

The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) announced board changes at Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC), which includes the appointment of Bob Tan as the new chairman of SDC, an announcement revealed. These changes will take effect on 1 April 2019.

Moses Lee, chairman for SDC, will be stepping down from the SDC Board upon the completion of his term on 31 March 2019.

Tan is the chairman of Jurong Engineering, ASCOTT Residence Trust Management, SINGEX Holdings and the Institute of Technical Education of Singapore.

“In addition, he is a board member of the Ong Teng Cheong Labour Leadership Institute, a member of the Corporate Governance Advisory Committee of Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and a council member of the National Trade Union Congress (NTUC) Club Management Council,” MTI added in its announcement.

Ang Shih-Huei, co-founder and CEO of Klareco Communications, and Andrew Lim Ming-hui, partner and co-Head of Corporate Mergers Acquisitions at Allen and Gledhill, were also appointed as new SDC board members.
