Figtree to build $43.5m food processing facility for OJJ Foods

The facility will have a refrigerated ASRS warehouse, amongst others.

Property solutions provider Figtree Holdings bagged a $43.5m contract from pork processor and distributor OJJ Foods to build a six-storey, 18,000sqm food processing facility at Chin Bee Avenue, an announcement revealed.

The facility will comprise a fully automated refrigerated ASRS warehouse, chiller and freezer cold rooms, central kitchen and other production and ancillary offices. OJJ Foods expects to commence construction of this facility in 4Q2019 and complete in 3Q2021.

Danny Siaw, executive chairman and managing director of Figtree said, “Our latest contract has given us a healthy pipeline until 2021. This is especially encouraging for us as the construction industry remains competitive and challenging. We will continue to pursue suitable opportunities with a more prudent approach, to grow our design and build a portfolio in Singapore.”
