CNMC Goldmine to debut on SGX Main Board trading on 28 August

Shareholders backed the transfer with 97.5% of votes cast.

CNMC Goldmine Holdings will begin trading on the Singapore Exchange Main Board on 28 August after shareholders approved its proposed transfer from Catalist.

The resolution received support from 97.5% of votes cast at an extraordinary general meeting held on 19 August, according to a bourse filing.

The company said the move comes as it reported higher earnings and continues to expand its mining operations in Malaysia.

For the first half of the year, it recorded an after-tax profit of $30b (US$23.6m) whilst earnings attributable to owners rose to $23.6m (US$18.6m). Both figures were up close to 20% from a year earlier.

Our earnings have grown more than tenfold since 2023,” CNMC CEO Chris Lim said.

“This came from our diversification into base metals production and the expansion of our gold processing capacity, not simply from rising gold prices,” Lim added.

Meanwhile, the company is continuing underground development at its flagship Sokor gold field project in Kelantan, Malaysia, where it is seeking to access higher-grade ore and increase production.

An additional underground gold mining facility is under construction, whilst two new vertical shafts with a budget of $15.2m (US$12m) are targeted for completion in 2027.

“Moving up to the SGX Main Board is expected to widen the pool of investors who can ride with us as we push ahead with the next phase of underground development at our flagship Sokor gold field project,” Lim said.

You're the reader we write for. You're also the person our partners want to reach.

If that sentence describes you — a founder, a C-suite, someone whose attention companies pay good money for — then you already understand why SBR works. We've spent twenty years earning the trust of readers exactly like you. Which is exactly what makes this an interesting place for your company to show up, too.

The ways it can show up are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The right fit depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If your company has something this audience should know about, we'd like to hear what you're working on.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
