Tech funding extends gains in July to $4.77b

Kling AI captured more than half of the month's total, raising $2.8b.

Tech companies raised about $4.77b in equity funding in July 2026, rising 27.35% from June's $3.74b, according to Tracxn.

It also represents a 184% surge from $1.68b in July 2025.

Yearly data shows mostly muted sectoral activity. August 2025 recorded $98.8m in tech funding before inflating to $458m in September, falling to $346m in October, sinking further to $284m in November.

Funding recovered to $521m in December before ballooning to around $2.25b in January 2026. It then sank to $356m in February and rose again to $672m in March.

April was the lowest month across the 12-month data, capturing only $58.8m in funding before a slight recovery in May, where it gathered $171m.

Sectoral funding grew further during June and July, marking the second consecutive month of strong growth.

Kling AI topped July's funding rounds with a $2.8b raise, accounting for more than half of the monthly funding total.

It was followed by Ant International ($1.2b), CRYPTO ($400m), PixVerse ($139m), and dConstruct Robotics ($125m).

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

You're the reader we write for. You're also the person our partners want to reach.

If that sentence describes you — a founder, a C-suite, someone whose attention companies pay good money for — then you already understand why SBR works. We've spent twenty years earning the trust of readers exactly like you. Which is exactly what makes this an interesting place for your company to show up, too.

The ways it can show up are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The right fit depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If your company has something this audience should know about, we'd like to hear what you're working on.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
