Tosei Corporation enters the SGX Mainboard
Japanese firm seeks regional expansion through listing.
In a release, the Singapore Exchange (SGX) announced that Tosei Corporation (Tosei) has listed on its Mainboard by way of a secondary listing via introduction.
Tosei is a Japanese company with diversified real estate businesses and a developer of award-winning properties in Japan. It is focused on small to medium-sized commercial and residential properties in Tokyo, including rental and management of property.
Mr Seiichiro Yamaguchi, President and CEO of Tosei Corporation, said: “We believe that our listing will enable investors to recognise the Tosei brand outside of Japan. This also coincides with our plans of using Singapore as our base for expansion into the South-east Asian region. With Tosei being in Singapore, the heart of Southeast Asia, we also hope to attract investors in the region to invest in the Japanese real estate market.”
Mr Lawrence Wong, Head of Listings, SGX, said: “We are pleased to welcome Tosei Corporation to SGX. We are delighted that the company has chosen SGX as their listing venue outside of Japan, in tandem with their expansion plans in Asia. We look forward to their listing blazing a trail for more Japanese businesses to list on SGX, offering diverse opportunities for investors on our exchange.”
With a market capitalisation of about S$540 million, Tosei brings the total number of listed companies on SGX to 773 with a combined market capitalisation of S$974 billion (US$783 billion).
