EGP Energy raises $30.6m in SGX debut

Proceeds will support new capabilities and expansion into Malaysia and Indonesia.

Electrical infrastructure provider EGP Energy Corporation has debuted on the Singapore Exchange at an offer price of $0.51 per share.

The company raised approximately $30.6m in gross proceeds and $27.4m in net proceeds from its offering and cornerstone tranche.

Based on its post-offering share capital of 225.5 million shares, EGP has an estimated market capitalisation of $115m.

The offering comprised 18.8 million shares, including 17.8 million placement shares and one million public-offer shares. Five cornerstone investors subscribed for another 41.2 million shares at the offer price.

Around half of the gross proceeds will be used to expand EGP’s product offerings and customer base and strengthen its maintenance capabilities through digitalisation and intelligent technologies.

The remaining proceeds will support its expansion into Malaysia and Indonesia, as well as working capital and general corporate purposes.

EGP provides engineering, procurement and construction management services for power transmission and distribution projects. It also offers consulting, project management and maintenance services for related assets.

The company generated all its revenue from Singapore in FY2024 and FY2025.

Revenue increased from $16.3m in FY2023 to $38m in FY2024 before rising 2.6% to $39m in FY2025. Net profit grew to $10.3m from $4.1m over the same period.

EGP had an order book of $282.1m, scheduled for progressive completion through 2031.

The company does not have a fixed dividend policy. However, its directors intend to recommend dividends of up to 40% of attributable net profit for FY2026 and FY2027, subject to its financial position and funding requirements.

EGP’s prospectus identified customer concentration as a key risk. One utility customer accounted for 80.5% of its FY2025 revenue, up from 47.1% in FY2024

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
