Global trading firm Optiver to open Singapore office
The move is part of the company’s broader expansion across Asia Pacific.
Global market maker and proprietary trading firm Optiver will be opening a new office in Singapore this year, as part of its expansion in Asia Pacific region.
The opening of the Singapore office will mark the fifth office of Optiver in the region.
Optiver considers Singapore to be a strategic location from which to further strengthen access to Asia’s financial markets, attract local talent, and operate in close proximity to regional business partners.
“We look forward to collaborating with local market participants to contribute to Singapore’s credentials as an international trading hub. We have also been tremendously impressed by the talent in Singapore as we look to recruit locally.” Jan Boomaars, Optiver’s CEO, said.
The exact date of when the office will be opened was not disclosed.
