Consulting Group Asia Insight bags Team of the Year – Market Research Consulting

The company has launched a shopping tracker that provides tactical consumer insights.

Singapore Business Review lauded the most exceptional business leaders in Singapore at the recently concluded Management Excellence Awards.

Now on its third year, the Management Excellence Awards recognises exemplary top-level management executives whose initiatives have brought tangible business gains for their company’s operations.

Consulting Group Asia Insight won Team of the Year under the market research consulting category. Their training and programs have achieved remarkable gains in sales and productivity whilst their intensified internal investment has led to talent upgrade, increased employee engagement and efficiency. Their representative, Ng Chong Hin, received the award at the gala dinner held on December 6 at Conrad Centennial Singapore.

“In this dynamic, ever-changing industry, the management, consulting and support teams worked together to transform Asia Insight into a disruptive insights consultancy. The period also saw an upskilling of the team’s capabilities with new research product solutions. All these helped to deliver on the business objectives of significant growth in sales, margins and productivity,” said managing director Adrian Tan.

In spite of the muted business environment and intellectually demanding nature of their work, the team made a concerted effort to keep up pace with the evolving digital and social research and approaches to deliver unparalleled insights for their clients across the areas of technology, telecoms, government and financial services.

Consulting Group Asia has also recently launched Digimon (Digital Monitor) which utilizes state-of-the-art online metering technology to provide tactical insights unto shopper behavior and secured an exclusive regional service contract with a global leader in financial services.

“Asia Insight actively seeks out cross-functional expertise and client-side experience in our hiring process. This differs from the traditional market research hiring model but allows us to really add value to our clients in many ways,” added Tan.

This year’s winners were judged by Henry Tan, managing director at NEXIA TS; Jeff Watts, managing director SEA Consulting Asia Pacific Consulting Leader at Deloitte; Lim Wei Wei, partner at Baker Tilly TFW; Foo Yuet Min, director for dispute resolution at Drew & Napier; and Azman Jaafar, deputy managing director for RHTLaw Taylor Wessing LLP.
