Singaporean men spent more than women during Black Friday: survey

Almost half or 49% of Singaporeans are planning to spend more on Black Week.

Singaporean men spent as much as $193 during Black Friday sales of Black Week, considerably higher than the $143 spent by women, according to a survey by Picodi.com.

But Picodi.com said “it doesn’t necessarily mean that men buy more than women — they could just buy more expensive items."

The recent analytics also found out that out of 49% of Singaporeans that are planning to spend more this year’s sale, 57% of them are planning to buy more expensive products such as electronics, whilst another 50% surveyed plans to buy more items.

All of the Singaporeans surveyed are satisfied with their Black Friday experience.

Black Friday is an informal name for the Friday following Thanksgiving Day in the United States, which is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November that Singaporean turned into a whole week sale called Black Week.
