HK-listed Metasurface files for dual primary listing on Catalist

Proceeds from the listing will be used to buy advanced machinery.

Metasurface Technologies Holdings Limited has lodged its preliminary offer document with the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (SGX-ST) for its proposed dual primary listing on Catalist.

Founded in 2000, Metasurface is a Singapore-headquartered precision engineering services provider that specialises in precision machining and welding for international companies. The company has also been listed on the GEM of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (HKEX) since 2 July 2024.

The group plans to leverage the growth of the precision engineering industry, which is projected to reach $708.8b, representing a CAGR of 5.3% from 2025 to 2030, according to the Independent Market Report.

The increase in artificial intelligence (AI) adoption is also supporting the growth of the semiconductor sector, growing by $118.6b by 2030. Meanwhile, Singapore’s precision engineering industry is projected to reach $15.3b by 2030, representing a CAGR of 6% from 2025 to 2030.

Metsurface said the proceeds from the placement will be used to fund the acquisition of 5-axis machines and other advanced machinery and software, strengthen quality control capabilities, and support its general working capital.

UOB Kay Hian Private Limited has been appointed as the sponsor, issue manager, and placement agent for the placement.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
