NetLink NBN Trust Q1 profit after tax falls 22% to $18.1m in Q1

The decline was due to higher depreciation from a larger asset base.

NetLink NBN Management Pte. Ltd., the trustee-manager of NetLink NBN Trust, reported a 22% year-on-year (YoY) decline in profit after tax (PAT) to $18.1m for the three months ended 30 June 2026 (Q1 FY2027).

The decline was mainly due to higher depreciation resulting from a larger asset base.

Revenue fell 1.4% YoY, primarily due to lower non-RAB revenue.

The decline in non-RAB revenue was driven mainly by lower installation-related revenue, partly offset by higher ancillary project revenue.

EBITDA fell 4% to $69.1m, reflecting higher operating expenses.

As at 30 June, the trust had 1,519,269 residential connections, 51,459 non-residential connections, 3,603 NBAP connections, and 4,330 segment connections.

Residential gross additions were stable in Q1 FY2027, whilst non-residential gross additions declined, mainly due to end-user churn between requesting licensees.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

You're the reader we write for. You're also the person our partners want to reach.

If that sentence describes you — a founder, a C-suite, someone whose attention companies pay good money for — then you already understand why SBR works. We've spent twenty years earning the trust of readers exactly like you. Which is exactly what makes this an interesting place for your company to show up, too.

The ways it can show up are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The right fit depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If your company has something this audience should know about, we'd like to hear what you're working on.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
