Grab rival Go-Jek has extended the beta phase of its ride-hailing app to all Singapore consumers as part of its efforts to fine-tune its services and user experience based on feedback received from riders and driver-partners, an announcement revealed.
First-time riders will receive two $5 vouchers which they can use for two rides within two weeks of signing up. The Go-Jek ride-hailing app is available for both iOS and Android users, the firm highlighted.

“We are committed to bringing choice back to the ride-hailing market in SIngapore, the hub for innovation and urban mobility in Southeast Asia,” Go-Jek president Andre Soelistyo said in a statement. “Through our gradual rollout of the app, we are ensuring that Go-Jek meets Singapore’s needs.”
Go-Jek launched its initial beta phase in Singapore on 29 November 2018 where DBS and POSB customers were given priority access. The ride-hailing service covered over half of Singapore, inclduding Jurong East, the Central Business District (CBD) and Changi Airport, before expanding its service area to all of Singapore on 2 January 2019, the firm added.
Following its initial beta phase, certain modifications have already been made to its app and user experience, including an in-app ‘pause’ function to allow driver-partners to go offline and stop new trip requests before completing an ongoing trip and an enhanced routing system to enable more accurate and quicker routes to improve waiting times for riders.
