ComfortDelGro enters agreement to bid for French metro projects
The company will participate through its subsidiary, ComfortDelGro Transit.
ComfortDelGro entered into a collaboration agreement with RATP Dev and Alstom to jointly bid for Grand Paris Express (GPE) greenfield metro projects in the Greater Paris region, France according to an announcement.
ComfortDelGro will be participating in the bid through its newly set-up subsidiary, ComfortDelGro Transit.
The partnership will submit bids for the upcoming GPE lines 16 and 17, which boasts a total of 200km of automated metro and is said to rank as one of the largest in Europe.
The move is said to be a “significant” step in furthering the group’s vision of expanding its rail capabilities beyond Singapore, according to ComfortDelGro chairman Lim Jit Poh.
