Maybank Singapore offers below 1% home loan rates

Lender also offers variable rate packages with first year rates starting from 0.8% per annum.

Maybank Singapore on Friday launched new fixed, variable and SIBOR-pegged rates home loan packages, with some offering first year rates that go below one per cent per annum. As part of an ongoing celebration of Maybank’s 50th anniversary, the Bank has launched a series of products and services relevant to customers such as Privilege Plus Savings Account, a savings product for those aged 50 years and above, and Pocket Me GIRO, a cash incentive given to customers when they GIRO with the Bank.

Launching these new home loan packages is yet another way Maybank is celebrating the milestone with customers, according to a Maybank report.

Said Ms Helen Neo, Head of Consumer Banking, Maybank Singapore, “In our continuous effort to delight customers, we are offering fixed rate home loan packages starting from as low as 0.88 per cent per annum. Fixed rate packages are very popular with customers as it gives certainty in financing their mortgage. In addition, for customers who want other home loan solutions, we also have very attractive variable rate packages with first year rates starting from as low as 0.8 per cent per annum, as well as interbank-pegged home loans starting from 0.50 per cent above the three-month SIBOR. This is yet another gesture of appreciation for our customers in celebration of our 50th year anniversary.”
