GLP inks new leases to automakers in Brazil and China
It will be for the distribution of vehicle parts.
Global Logistics Properties (GLP) has found new friends from two global automakers as it signed two leases to Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Daimler.
In a statement, GLP said Fiat Chrysler Automobile has leased 43,000 sqm in São Paulo, Brazil while Daimler has leased 23,000 sqm in Greater Jinan, Eastern China.
The facilities will be used by the two automakers to distribute vehicle parts for after-sales service.
For GLP CEO Ming Z. Mei, the leases highlights demand for efficient logistics solutions, which he claimed the group provides.
More so, he noted that these recent leases would ensure high quality after-sales service for car buyers.
"After-sales service is very important and drives demand for auto parts, even in an environment where new car sales growth has slowed. We look forward to supporting our customers as they continue to grow,” Mei said.
