SIA Engineering forms component services division

The new division aimed to help with maintenance, repair, and overhaul.

SIA Engineering announced the formation of a Component Services Division (CSD), a new business unit within the company, to grow its component maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) business.

Effective from 1 April, all existing component repair and fleet management services, including inventory technical management services, will be consolidated under CSD.

CEO Ng Chin Hwee said, "As the aviation sector recovers, we are optimistic about the demand outlook and growth for the MRO industry. Within CSD, both component repair services and fleet management services complement each other, especially in inventory technical management and repair. This new unit and its focus on developing new capabilities and strengthening our partnership network will boost our ability to provide customised and flexible solutions to cater to the needs of our airline customers and OEM partners."

Following the establishment of the Engine Services Division in April 2021, the formation of CSD will further enhance SIA Engineering's portfolio of MRO service offerings to its customers and complement its network of joint ventures with the component OEMs in Singapore and overseas.
