ST Engineering appoints Joseph Leong Weng Keong as director

He is currently the permanent secretary for defence development.

ST Engineering appointed Joseph Leong Weng Keong as a non-independent non-executive director of the company with effect from 7 June 2019.

Leong, 48, is currently the Permanent Secretary for Defence Development, Second Permanent Secretary for Communications and Information and Second Permanent Secretary for Cybersecurity.

He joined the SAF in 1990 and has held various positions in the Ministry of Defence. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Engineering) and Master of Arts from the University of Cambridge, UK, as well as Master of Business Administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA.
