With these primary points of accomplishment a selection factor, SBR Technology Excellence Awards 2021 has recognized Datasite as a fintech leader for its game-changing mergers and acquisitions (M&A) technology and tools.

Datasite is a leading SaaS technology provider for the M&A industry, whose aim is to empower dealmakers around the world with the tools they need to succeed across the entire deal lifecycle. The company leverages new technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP), to automate time consuming and low-value tasks required in managing M&A. For example, one of the most challenging parts of the M&A process is organizing and preparing the files needed for review by potential investors or purchasers. Dealmakers can spends days and weeks reviewing thousands of files to figure out how to organize them and prepare them for a transaction. Datasite's AI-powered tools, such as Datasite Prepare™, help streamline this process, and potentially provide a more efficient and accurate analysis, enabling dealmakers to be more productive. According to Datasite, its customers have seen as much as a 40% reduction in effort and cycle time when performing tasks using its tools.

Datasite has facilitated close to 10,000 global deals a year and has helped dealmakers in more than 170 countries. This includes 74 of the top 100 legal firms and all the top 20 global financial advisory firms. The platform was used in fundraising for several Southeast Asia unicorns and in facilitating Singapore's largest deal in 2020.

Datasite’s innovative platform and virtual data room application, Datasite Diligence™, helped revolutionise the M&A process, reducing the time it takes to prepare confidential documents for M&A transactions by 60%. Additionally, Datasite’s tools allow dealmakers to redact and unredact sensitive words, phrases and images in documents from within the virtual data room (VDR), an important feature as research shows over 75% of deals require redaction. The feature cuts in half the time it takes to redact and un-redact documents and improves M&A management accuracy and security, increasing deal efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Datasite’s other applications help dealmakers manage other areas of the M&A lifecycle. Datasite Outreach™ improves the efficiency and speed of the asset marketing process, while Datasite Acquire™ provides buy-side teams with one secure place to execute M&A due diligence, reducing deal times and sharpening oversight for stakeholders.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
