JLL appoints Jonathan Davis national director of SEA business operations

It's part of the company's SEA expansion plans.

JLL announced recently that as part of the firm’s plans to expand and grow its Southeast Asia business, Jonathan Davis will be joining the firm as National Director, Business Operations, Southeast Asia, starting 1 March 2016.

According to a release from JLL, in this newly created role based in Singapore, Davis will report to Chris Fossick, Managing Director, Singapore and Southeast Asia.
He will work closely with Mr. Fossick and JLL’s Southeast Asia country heads to support the overall growth and expansion of the business in the region.

In his new role, Davis will initially focus on building the residential strategy in Southeast Asia, as the firm further develops and invests in the residential property services business.

He will also play an important role in JLL’s new Malaysia business, in addition to working on the implementation of technology in the business to drive productivity.

Jonathan has extensive experience in Asia and in the residential sector, having spent over 15 years in China, in companies such as CBRE, Morgan Stanley, Sun Hung Kai Properties and most recently, Cushman & Wakefield. As Executive Director of Residential Services & Occupier Services at CBRE China, he expanded the business line to incorporate a Landlord Representation department, securing new business and revenue.

At Morgan Stanley Properties China, he was Executive Director, Asset Management, managing a diverse portfolio of Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds (MSREF) properties with an aggregate value of US$1 billion.

He then moved on to Sun Hung Kai Properties, where, as Regional Director, Residential Assets, he oversaw the development, launch and asset management of a new service apartment portfolio in China, while enhancing the value and performance of existing assets.

His most recent role was Managing Director for Cushman & Wakefield in China, where he led a team of 350 staff in 5 offices to an 18 per cent year on year revenue growth in 2014. "I am very excited to be joining the JLL platform and their market leading team, and look forward to assisting in the continued growth of the firm's business across Southeast Asia," said Jonathan Davis.
