Nam Cheong appoints Leong Seng Keat as CEO

He took over the post vacated by his father-in-law Datuk Tiong Su Kouk, who relinquished his CEO role to comply with a guideline of the Code of Corporate Governance 2012, where the Chairman and CEO should be separate persons.

The Board of Nam Cheong announced the appointment of Leong Seng Keat as chief executive officer.

Mr Leong, 47, will chart the Group’s corporate and strategic directions and will work closely with the members of the management team in the strategic management for significant expansion of market share and operations.

In the past he was director of Eminent Media (2006 to 2007), Integral Online Corporation (1999-2007), and Activegames Entertainment (2003 to 2007), according to a Nam Cheong report.

Datuk Tiong Su Kouk, 71, will remain as executive chairman.
