How can persons with special needs ensure financial security?
The Special Needs Trust Company provides trust services to persons with special needs in Singapore, so don't fret.
The SNTC is a charity which provides trust services to persons with special needs. Its board of directors is chaired by Professor Lim Pin, who formerly served as Vice Chancellor at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
According to Chew Chin Seng of SNTC, “We help people like 68-year-old single mother Mdm Yip Lum Fong and her 28-year-old son Cheah Tat Hiang, who suffers from Down syndrome. Through our fund-raising efforts, we have been able to provide Madam Yip with S$5,000 to open a trust account for Tat Hiang. Madam Yip told us, ‘I am not afraid to die now because I can go with peace of mind.’”
