Maybank launches lifestyle app for instant points-redeeming

Users may instantly redeem from around 200 rewards which include air miles, and branded merchandise.

Maybank Singapore launched the Maybank TREATS SG Lifestyle app that will let credit and debit cardholders to redeem instant rewards and to update them on promotions, privileges, and flash deals, an announcement revealed. The firm also partnered with the Manchester United Football Club for the app’s gamification element.

“Bringing our rewards programme to a mobile app platform is a strategic move as it allows the bank to reach out to customers in real time,” Maybank head of cards for Malaysia and Singapore Karen Low commented.

Through the app’s rewards catalogue, users may instantly redeem from around 200 rewards which include air miles, and branded merchandise. They will also receive deal alerts, including coffee giveaway and $1 flash deals that can be redeemed via presenting e-coupons at various cashier points.

The app’s gaming component that was conceptualised with Manchester United Football Club will test their skills at the virtual training ground and stadium as well as answer trivia questions to earn game credits. The public can access and play the basic level of Maybank Football Fan whilst its competitive level and in-app privileges are exclusive to Maybank cardmembers.
