Chart of the Day: Check out the growth in general commerce loans

It recorded its best reading since January 2015.

General commerce loans showed improvement in February after being stuck in the doldrums.

According to Maybank Kim Eng, the rebound in GC loans from -1.6% year-on-year in January to 3.9% yoy, reflected improvement in trade loans. This is its best reading since January 2015.

Such loans form around 13% of total system loans and around 18% of corporate loans.
