The Singapore Business Review Management Excellence Awards is now accepting nominations to recognise country's most outstanding leaders!
If your company has a noteworthy individual or team who made a huge contribution to your business' success, nominate them for the awards. The program will also honor employee engagements and COVID management initiatives that made a positive impact to its workforce or customers.

Wai Keat is a consulting partner at Ernst & Young Advisory Pte. Ltd. in Singapore.
He has vast experience in providing technology consulting services to numerous local and multinational corporations from the private and public sectors across the Asia-Pacific region.
Wai Keat covers agile business transformation, post-merger integration, and end-to-end managed services consultation for IT and business processes for life sciences, health care, consumer goods, agribusiness, transportation and real estate clients.
He is certified in production and inventory management (APICS CPIM) and ITIL v3 Foundation. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with Merit from National University of Singapore.

Irving is a partner in KPMG in Singapore and has been with KPMG for over 28 years, having worked in both the London and Singapore offices. As the Co-Head of Advisory (Singapore and Indonesia), he is responsible for the Advisory businesses and practices across Management Consulting and Risk Consulting. Irving sits in the firm’s Senior Executive Committee which oversees the firm’s strategic and operational excellence. His key area of practice is in corporate governance, where he is also the KPMG APAC Leader for Board Advisory Services. He has undertaken numerous corporate governance reviews for both public and private organisations in light of the renewed focus in this area. He is a frequent invited guest and speaker at board meetings and presentations as well as public forums on corporate governance.
In October 2018, Irving was appointed to the Board of the Singapore Tyler Institute (STPI). He was also appointed on that same year to the Advisory Board for the School of Accountancy for the Singapore Management University. Together with the other Board of Advisors, they are tasked to help shape the future of the accounting profession.
In addition, Irving is a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) where is a member of the Governance Committee and the chairperson of CPA Australia Sub-committee for the Public Sector.

Joshua Ong is the managing partner of Baker Tilly and also leads the Firm’s Capital Markets and IPO services. He has more than 20 years’ audit, corporate governance advisory, financial control and accounting experience, and specialises in the audit of multinational companies and public interest entities.
Joshua also has extensive experience in local and cross-border due diligence and investigation engagements, and corporate governance of public listed companies. He currently serves on Public Education Council, Singapore Accountancy Commission, and was previously members of the Auditing and Assurance Standards Committee, and Investigation and Disciplinary panel of ISCA.
Joshua is a fellow member of ISCA and CPA Australia.

Nominees will be deliberated by a judging committee based on the nomination form and supporting documents submitted.
The awards are for:
Top-level executives, innovative individuals, and dynamic teams who launched successful and notable new projects or innovations
Employee engagement initiatives that significantly enhanced the company's business
Covid management initiatives that either helped the company or its customers to navigate current headwinds due to the pandemic
Nomination is free of charge. If your company wins, you are obliged to attend the awards ceremony and book any of the winner's package options to secure your slots at the hotel or digital awards presentation and interview. ELIGIBILITY
For Executive/Innovator & Team of the Year categories - The executive, innovator or team must be able to showcase their remarkable contributions to the success and growth of their companies in the last 12-24 calendar months.
For COVID Management & Employee Engagement Initiative categories - The company should have launched a new project, innovation, strategy or initiative that made a positive impact to its workforce and/or customers, not more than 24 calendar months ago.

Please Note:
Due to the current pandemic, the physical awards dinner will not happen this year. As an alternative, we will conduct Individual Hotel Presentation and Interview at Conrad Centennial or a Digital Awards Presentation and Interview via Zoom video conferencing.

Wai Keat is a consulting partner at Ernst & Young Advisory Pte. Ltd. in Singapore.
He has vast experience in providing technology consulting services to numerous local and multinational corporations from the private and public sectors across the Asia-Pacific region.
Wai Keat covers agile business transformation, post-merger integration, and end-to-end managed services consultation for IT and business processes for life sciences, health care, consumer goods, agribusiness, transportation and real estate clients.
He is certified in production and inventory management (APICS CPIM) and ITIL v3 Foundation. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with Merit from National University of Singapore.

Irving is a partner in KPMG in Singapore and has been with KPMG for over 28 years, having worked in both the London and Singapore offices. As the Co-Head of Advisory (Singapore and Indonesia), he is responsible for the Advisory businesses and practices across Management Consulting and Risk Consulting. Irving sits in the firm’s Senior Executive Committee which oversees the firm’s strategic and operational excellence. His key area of practice is in corporate governance, where he is also the KPMG APAC Leader for Board Advisory Services. He has undertaken numerous corporate governance reviews for both public and private organisations in light of the renewed focus in this area. He is a frequent invited guest and speaker at board meetings and presentations as well as public forums on corporate governance.
In October 2018, Irving was appointed to the Board of the Singapore Tyler Institute (STPI). He was also appointed on that same year to the Advisory Board for the School of Accountancy for the Singapore Management University. Together with the other Board of Advisors, they are tasked to help shape the future of the accounting profession.
In addition, Irving is a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) where is a member of the Governance Committee and the chairperson of CPA Australia Sub-committee for the Public Sector.

Joshua Ong is the managing partner of Baker Tilly and also leads the Firm’s Capital Markets and IPO services. He has more than 20 years’ audit, corporate governance advisory, financial control and accounting experience, and specialises in the audit of multinational companies and public interest entities.
Joshua also has extensive experience in local and cross-border due diligence and investigation engagements, and corporate governance of public listed companies. He currently serves on Public Education Council, Singapore Accountancy Commission, and was previously members of the Auditing and Assurance Standards Committee, and Investigation and Disciplinary panel of ISCA.
Joshua is a fellow member of ISCA and CPA Australia.

How do I nominate?
You can send an entry via the online nomination form where you have to fill in details about your company and the product that you wish to enter. You also have to submit a 500 word write up summarizing your product details and why it should win an award.
How many winners per category?
There will only be one winner per industry on each category ie. "Executive of the Year - Computer Software", "Executive of the Year - Banking", etc.
Can I send two or more entries for our company?
Yes, you may send 2 entries for a maximum of two categories. One online form is equivalent to one entry so if you are nominating multiple entries, please enter each separately.
