EVCo bags win at SBR Management Excellence Awards 2022

It helped customers embark on their electrification journey and promote decarbonisation.

electric-Mobility-as-a-Service (eMaaS) provider EVCo has brought home the Team of the Year - Transportation award at the recently held SBR Management Excellence Awards 2022 for its decarbonisation efforts in Singapore.

Since its launch in April 2022, EVCo has helped more than 30 customers with a collective fleet size of 260 internal combustion engine vehicles embark on their electrification journey, representing a potential reduction of more than 450 tonnes in carbon emissions.

“We chose to partner with EVCo as the company is a pioneer in providing eMaaS and we share their ambitions for sustainability and green technology. We are also impressed by their digital infrastructure and data management that supports the running and operation of electric vehicles,” said Benjamin Ong, CEO of freight forwarding service Alliance 21 Group.

“With ECVo, we are able to not only obtain cost-effective electric vehicles, but we are also able to seamlessly integrate data-driven operating systems into our own, bringing us even closer to our decarbonisation goals in one fell swoop,” added Winston Baptista, CEO of pest control service ORIGIN Exterminators.

This success would not have been possible without the eMaaS provider’s inclusive and diversified team, which has grown from 4 people in April to a dynamic 22-person team from various backgrounds.

The team includes a mix of experienced staff with global experience, reactivated retirees with a wealth of industry knowledge, and younger talent from various industries and specialities. The diversity of the team is also across genders - 50% of its senior management is female - and the EVCo office is being renovated to suit one of their mobility-impaired customer experience analyst.

The prestigious awards programme honours individuals or teams that have made a huge contribution to the companies’ success and Singapore’s growth. At the same time, the programme will also honour employee engagements and COVID management initiatives that made a positive impact on its workforce or customers.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
