Mapletree completes largest China logistics hub
It features three five-storey buildings and a five-storey central kitchen.
Mapletree Investments has completed its largest logistics development in China in Guangzhou’s Zengcheng District, providing approximately 389,000 square metres of logistics space.
The Mapletree Guangzhou Procurement and Distribution Centre is located next to Zengcheng West Railway Station, with access to rail freight routes serving markets across Eurasia and ASEAN.
It comprises three five-storey logistics buildings and a five-storey central kitchen, designed to support cold storage, food processing, packaging, procurement, and distribution.
The centre features dual-sided loading bays, high clear heights, vehicle ramps, freight lifts and floors designed to support automation. Trucks can access all five levels of the buildings.
The development is also equipped with fibre-optic connectivity, fire detection and alarm systems, CCTV surveillance, access controls, and electronic patrol systems.
Mapletree said the development has secured several tenants. It is also in discussions with third-party logistics companies, e-commerce operators, restaurant groups, and retailers.
