Pan Pacific Hotels Group bags Team of the Year at the SBR Management Excellence Awards

During the pandemic, the group successfully launched an eco-led brand aligned with the key values of sustainability and wellness.

With the collective and outstanding effort of the Pan Pacific Hotels Group's Sales and Marketing team, they bagged this year’s Team of the Year Award under the Hospitality and Leisure category in the Singapore Business Review Management Excellence Awards 2022.

Now in its 8th year, the Singapore Business Review Management Excellence Awards recognise excellent executives, innovators, and teams, as well as HR and company initiatives that promote the well-being of employees.

Pan Pacific Hotels Group is a wholly owned hotel subsidiary of UOL Group Limited, based in Singapore, with a diverse portfolio of owned, investment, and development properties around the world.

The Team of the Year trophy was well-earned by the Group after successfully launching PARKROYAL COLLECTION, a sustainable hospitality brand that focuses on lifestyle luxury brought to life through biophilic design, iconic architecture, eco-friendliness, and lifestyle experiences.

Comprising different functions from sales, revenue, digital marketing, partnerships, and loyalty marketing to public relations, Pan Pacific Hotels Group’s Sales & Marketing team rallied together to achieve a creative, innovative, and high-equity outcome for the new brand, working together to triumph over the constraints and challenges of the pandemic.

To strengthen its global positioning, the Group implemented an integrated marketing strategy in the digital and social spheres, including the launch of a giveaway contest, the refresh of its official Instagram page, and the creation of a brand and documentary video centred on an iconic, sustainable, and wellness collection.

In addition, they also launched the "Make a Break for Great Escape" and "Home as You Roam" awareness campaigns to drive domestic and international bookings as travel starts to pick up again.

With these effective brand and tactical campaigns, they achieved a 75% increase in revenue for the brand’s hotels in Singapore from the second to the third quarter of 2022.

In June 2022, the brand expanded into Malaysia with the opening of PARKROYAL COLLECTION Kuala Lumpur, located in the heart of Bukit Bintang. This new hotel marks the PARKROYAL COLLECTION brand’s first launch beyond Singapore’s shores. It boasts 527 rooms and suites with flexible meeting spaces and upscale F&B outlets.

Like its sister properties, PARKROYAL COLLECTION Kuala Lumpur is also committed to caring for the environment and wellness by using biodegradable packaging, filtered drinking water in every guestroom, a variety of air-purifying plants and trees serving as natural humidifiers, and a food-waste management system.
