Visionary spearheads Deliver.sg's exponential rise and global ambitions

The company has been able to expand its offerings, achieve milestones, and set sights on global expansion through Krishnamani Kannan’s leadership.

In a world where adaptability, foresight, and resilience are invaluable, having an exemplary leader can make all the difference. This is the value that Krishnamani Kannan, CEO of long-distance food delivery platform Deliver.sg, possesses.

Starting with a bootstrapped budget and a local food delivery concept in 2019, Krishnamani steered the platform towards a comprehensive Deliver-as-a-Service model, understanding the evolving needs of consumers during challenging times.

Despite the implications brought upon by the COVID-19 pandemic, Krishnamani saw an opportunity to pivot Deliver.sg’s food delivery service into personalised customer deliveries.

His leadership allowed the company to achieve remarkable growth. Annual orders grew from 100,000 to 250,000, presenting a strong growth trajectory. His guidance and determination have also driven the company to achieve operational cash positivity and expand its footprint into countries like Thailand, Cambodia, the Philippines, and West Malaysia.

Furthermore, he acknowledged that the success of Deliver.sg would not have been possible without the company’s passionate team and the unwavering trust of its customers. As Deliver.sg sets its sights on global expansion and seeks external funding for strategic investments, it is clear that Krishnamani's vision, dedication, and leadership are at the heart of these endeavours.

The CEO has been honoured by the SBR Management Excellence Awards, as he brought home the Executive of the Year - Logistics category win. “His unwavering dedication, visionary approach, and ability to adapt to market shifts have played a pivotal role in the company's meteoric rise,” the company said.

The esteemed awards programme recognises and celebrates the remarkable achievements of leaders, innovators, teams, and initiatives that drive growth and make a positive impact on both business operations and its workforce.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
