BoardRoom Singapore takes home Team of the Year award in the Business Services category

The firm achieved multiple milestones despite the challenging period.

This year has been a year like no other, yet amidst the challenging climate, BoardRoom Singapore, a leader in the corporate services space has thrived. Guiding their clients through this unprecedented year with solutions founded on innovation and technology.

The team demonstrated a level of resilience and collaboration that led to them achieving multiple milestones and securing the Team of the Year award in the Business Services category of the SBR Management Excellence Awards 2020. Now in its 6th year, the awards programme honors outstanding individuals and teams whose management initiatives have brought tangible business gains for their company's operations.

Just in 2020, the firm achieved an 880% return on ad spend (ROAS) through digital marketing, guided 48% of SGX listed companies through hosting a virtual annual general meeting (AGM), and processed payroll to 99% accuracy across its Singapore clients.

The business milestones were delivered through innovative solutions BoardRoom implemented to guide clients and shape the future of the industry. Further testament to the impressiveness of what BoardRoom Singapore achieved is that from the inception of the circuit breaker, BoardRoom Singapore operated with an estimated average of only 10% of their workforce in the Singapore office.

The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the traditional way of working and connecting with clients. Most notable was the inability to meet clients physically. In addition to this, no business was spared from the challenges arising from the pandemic such as implementing business continuity plans, COVID-19 safety measures and remote working. This at a time, when creating connections and demonstrating solidarity was more important than ever.

To combat this BoardRoom’s Business Development & Marketing departments adopted a variety of solutions — the implementation of a marketing automation system; invested heavily in SEO/SEM; ran a series of webinars — with the core theme amongst all of these, to show that the firm understood and cared about the problems clients were facing. This in turn built the trust so critical to clients engaging in services amidst the background of a global recession.

Another factor to BoardRoom’s success was their foresight and investment into technology. Both through virtual meeting services to assist companies in holding their AGMs and a cloud-based Human Resources Management System (HRMS), Ignite. This investment and foresight meant their teams were able to deliver the same quality and timely services to clients with no disruption.
