HDB resale volume slips 6.3% as softening trend extends in May

Transactions climb 10.1% from April but stay below 2025 levels.

HDB resale volume fell 6.3% year-on-year to 2,139 transactions in May from 2,284 from last year, according to data from 99.co and SRX.

Meanwhile, the 99-SRX flash report for May showed that resale volume rose 10.1% from 1,943 transactions in April.

Over the past 13 months, monthly resale volume peaked at 2,580 transactions in July 2025 before easing to 2,213 in August and 2,186 in September.

Volume then fell to 1,347 in October 2025 before recovering to 1,674 in November and 2,042 in December.

In 2026, monthly volume was 2,351 in January, 1,670 in February, 2,053 in March, and 1,943 in April.
