Pacific Refreshments lauded at SBR Management Excellence Awards for promoting  diversity

The company has implemented development programmes and capability-building for female talent across career levels.

Pacific Refreshments Pte. Ltd., a subsidiary of The Coca-Cola Company and part of its ASEAN  & South Pacific operating unit, clinched the Diversity & Inclusion Initiative of the Year - FMCG  category at the SBR Management Excellence Awards for its progress towards a more diverse workplace and its endeavours in women empowerment.

The company has implemented targeted capability-building and development programmes for female talent at various stages of their careers. These programmes include leadership training,  networking opportunities, opportunities for short-term assignments, coaching and mentorship,  and skill-building workshops.

At the same time, a stronger emphasis is being placed on sourcing and hiring diverse talents.  Pacific Refreshments has implemented gender-neutral job postings and is proactively working with recruiters and partners to ensure these postings are attracting talented women across all
levels of the organisation. The company has also launched a Young Professionals Programme,  wherein 60% of the participants are women.
The company also has an active Gender Balance Inclusion Network. This employee-led network rolls out programmes to strengthen engagement, education, allyship, and action under the lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

Recognising the importance of work-life balance for all employees, Pacific Refreshments remains committed to providing flexible work arrangements and supportive policies to help all employees, especially women, succeed at work whilst maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

At Pacific Refreshments and Coca-Cola more broadly, the progress of DEI and gender diversity initiatives is regularly being tracked. The company also collaborates with people and organisations committed to supporting women’s leadership and advancement in the workplace.

By holding itself accountable, Pacific Refreshments can ensure tangible strides are being made towards Coca-Cola’s global goal of 50% women in leadership by 2030. Progress towards this goal at Pacific  Refreshments is being supported and accelerated by Coca-Cola’s Global Women’s Leadership  Council, established over a decade ago to address barriers to women’s advancement, guide policy changes, and ensure Coca-Cola stays on track with its global gender diversity goals.
