5-course dinner kicks off at Grand Mercure Roxy

This is in collaboration with Tou Gei Group of Potters for a charity cause.

In a release, Tou Gei Group of Potters with Grand Mercure Roxy Singapore sparks up the weekend on the 29 September 2012 with a delightful 5 course dinner exquisitely crafted to kick-start the week long ceramic exhibition.

Through this ceramic exhibition titled Tou Gei 2012: All Fired Up, the Tou Gei Group of Potters hopes to preserve the rich heritage of ceramic arts in Singapore by introducing this art form to a wider audience which will also help build a stronger cultural identity for Singaporeans.

In support of this initiative, Grand Mercure Roxy Singapore will be hosting a 5 course opening dinner at its newest restaurant, breez bistro.bar. The evening will start off with an appetizer of Smoked Duck with Mixed Berries Dressing, following by Lobster Bisque Soup before a refreshing intermezzo of Lime Sorbet.

The Main selections include Braised Beef Cheek with Mushroom Risotto, a flavourful meat delight braised to perfection, and Deep Fried Cod Fillet on a Bed of Angel Hair Pasta and Fish Stock. For dessert, the California Strawberry Pizza White Chocolate Shaving Vanilla Ice Cream is a perfect melt-in-the-mouth combination in our warm tropical country.

A silent auction will also be held during the dinner whereby diners can contribute to charity through the purchase of a ceramic piece. This meaningful collaboration between Grand Mercure Roxy Singapore and Tou Gei Group of Potters is also held in support of Assisi Hospice whereby 30% of the proceeds from the dinner, 100% of the proceeds from the auction and 10% of proceeds from all pottery sales will be donated to the care of adults and children with life-limited illness in Assisi Hospice.

There will be a preview of the ceramic exhibition on the 29 September before it officially begins on the 30 September to 7 October. Exhibition will held at Roxy 1, Level 4 in Grand Mercure Roxy Singapore. For more information of the exhibition, please email [email protected] or contact Mark at (65)9681 5280.
