HC Surgical Specialists sets up new subsidiary HC Ming

It will set up an endoscopy centre within The Ming Clinic at the Camden Medical Centre.

Catalist-listed medical services group HC Surgical Specialists (HCSS) has, together with Medistar Services, incorporated a subsidiary in Singapore known as HC Ming, an announcement revealed.

HC Ming will set up an endoscopy centre within general practitioner clinic The Ming Clinic, which is operated by Medistar, at Camden Medical Centre. This will bring HCSS’ network of endoscopy centres to 10 and enhance its presence in central Singapore.

Following the group’s proposed acquisition of a 25% equity stake in Medistar, Medistar will become an associated company of the HC Surgical.

HCSS and Medistar will hold 80% and 20% of the total issued share capital in HC Ming, respectively.

According to HCSS’ CEO Dr. Heah Sieu Min, the new endoscopy clinic location in The Ming Clinic will allow the firm to tap on the clinic’s ready pool of patients.

“The strategic positioning of the clinic may also provide a vast consortium of patient referrals for the group,” he added.
