Naumi opens second hotel in Singapore

The former Saff Hotel will be rebranded as Naumi Liora.

Naumi is delighted to announce that it will be opening the doors of her second hotel in Singapore at Keong Saik Road at the end of June 2012. Upon completion of a multimillion-dollar renovation, the former Saff Hotel will be rebranded as Naumi Liora.

Refreshed and revamped by Urban Arc architects, the hotel, which was originally built in November 1858, will unveil 79 inspiring rooms and suites that average 20 to 41 square meters, a fresh and reconfigured lobby and functional fitness spaces.

The inherent spirit of the building’s heritage is not lost, however, as the original timber flooring, windows and patios and even the building’s signature tangerine colour have been preserved to complement and contrast against its vibrant and contemporary update.

Located in the heart of Chinatown, Naumi Liora is a 10 minute walk from the highly accessible Outram Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station, which sits on the East-West line and provides direct transit to Changi Airport. The new acquisition is a radiant landmark that puts the traveler close to the authentic spark of Singaporean experience in the colourful Chinatown district yet is within minutes from the Central Business Disctrict, Tanjong Pagar, as well as a plethora of specialty shops and award-winning restaurants.

Immerse into the cultural heritage of Keong Saik Road, where the once notorious street evokes memories of rickshaw pullers, opium dens, secret society clans and ladies of the night. Guests may expect a high level of personalized service that was reserved for the rich Chinese towkays (wealthy businessmen) in the past.

Standing out among heritage buildings and historic sites, Naumi Liora will offer an experience that caters to passionate travelers and business professionals who, in the quest for uniqueness of living, desire a travel experience with a spark.

“We wish to engage today’s traveler in a warm sanctuary of comfort with a stylish design concept. The hotel exemplifies the group's architectural and design philosophy for city hotels,” says Mr Surya Jhunjnuwala, Managing Director of Naumi Hotels.

He adds, “The Naumi brand has been consistently recognised as one of the best and I am confident that Naumi Liora will continue to represent the highest standard of hospitality — passionate, enthusiastic and intuitive.”
