IT wholesaler Distribution Central opens Singapore branch

The Australian based company says its clients want its unique business model in Asia.

“The launch of our Singapore branch is a significant milestone for Distribution Central as part of our ASEAN growth strategy,” said Nick Verykios, Managing Director, Distribution Central. “In Australia and New Zealand, we’ve been growing organically really fast for a long time and our financial position is pretty strong. We are now looking to Asia for further growth and given Singapore is the business hub for the ASEAN region, it was a natural choice for our first ASEAN branch office,” said Verykios.

“Our vendors were actually the catalyst for our expansion into Singapore; they are looking to us to replicate our business model in the ASEAN region as part of their own growth strategies. As a result we are launching with NetApp, AccessData, CommVault and WatchGuard, with other significant vendor partnerships to be announced very soon.”

Distribution Central in Singapore is being led by Fleur Glover, who brings more than 15 year proven track record in constructing and delivering multimillion dollar deals, for Multi National Companies in the Oil and Gas, Banking and Finance, Consultancy and Global Logistics verticals.

The company provides specialised, technical-service oriented distribution and channel support for contemporary IT products, and in particular provides custom-built Software-as-a- Service solutions that create real efficiencies and business benefits for its customers, including Annuity Systems (powered by iAsset), ChannelControl Online Partner Hub and Online Configurator, and a FlexPodTM online configurator (powered by iAsset).
